Not usually. Try asking for fioricet instead. It's a moderate pain reliever more commonly perscribed for migraines. Midrin only work for me whether I catch it right at the beginning. And I generally have to take two. During the summer months, mine get worse. I usually have to wind up going to the Er to receive a shot of dilaudid. After which they perscribe me vicodin to completely kill it. Do you have a neurologist? Whether not, I really propose you get one. There are a lot of things that you can do other than medicine to help prevent migraines. Most of the time, doctors will try to receive you to try several different medicines or preventative treatments before they give out pain meds. Which is absolutely horrible. Migraines are absolutely horrendous. And often doctors refuse to give the medicine we need because of a horribly misplaced sense of ethics. I tell doctors strait out, either you give me the meds that actually work when I'm suffering a migraine, or i stop paying you to send me to the Er
