Docters, nurses, or people that know about metformin/ phentermine?

Approximately a year ago i was put on phentermine and i started to lose weight, then i was told i had pcos and was put on metformin. I am currently taking 1000mg a day and will be on 2000mg a day in a few weeks. I am not taking phenimine any more but i am not losing very much weight. Is it safe to take both at one time??
I am 14 and have had the symptoms for metformin...

I am currently taking metformin for type Ii diabetes. I wish i could lose weight I have felt no side effects at all. I am not sure of the dosage I am taking as my script is at home and I am not. Have a fantastic day and a Merry xmas.
