For a couple of years, I've had a really poor neck. I formerly went to the doctors in Jan and they told me to go to a Pt to stretch it out. I did and did the excercise they gave me. However I did not do them that often like they told me too. A couple of weeks ago I found out that Only when i turned my head to the left and back forward to the front, I could here a little crack or pop in my neck (cervical backbone area)... Ever since then my neck/shoulder area kinda has been really poor even after I stretch. I can never sit in place for more than a minute because of my neck. Another things that has recently appeared was that this pain was kind of getting worse.. Not only can i keep my neck still when watching a movie or sitting down, but I did not sleep very well (lack of sleep).. In the morning i constantly would have stiff neck and minor headaches. Sometimes these symptoms would go away whether i do somethign that gets my mind off of it. I have full range of motion its just that left side of the neck/shoulder isnt going absent. I've taken a muscle relaxant and advil but dont want to be dependent on it.... I have read that neck pains may cause a brain tumor? I am worried? do i have it?

Symptoms of brain tumors are more extreme than minor headaches and neck pains. It can be strained neck muscles caused by emphasise and bad posture.

Consider seeing a chiropractor for a diagnosis, and for reassurance (if affordable), receive an Mri or Ct scan performed.

Then you need to do your exercises to strengthen your neck to keep it in place. I have a brain tumor and I had to do Pt for headaches from my radiation that caused nerve damage. The Pt really helped. It strengthened my neck and back muscles. I do not have to go to the chiropractor anymore. Plus I don't have headaches like I used to. They were going to put me on Methadone because I have them non stop for 7 months straight. I now only have a few a week. Your stiff neck is from sleeping all night. It's normal to hear cracking and popping, grinding noises in your neck when you move it even whether it is not of place. Like you said you didn't stick to your exercises. I myself had a seizure that's how I found out about my brain tumor.
