I have been signed off work now for the last 6 months, due to Anxiety and Depression/ Stress,
I have been diagnosed with Tmj, which is a jaw joint disorder.
There are numerous symptoms that are associated with Tmj, and the leading ones are, inflamation of the facial muscles, sore throat, very painful toothache/neuralgia, facial muscle spasms, jaw dislocation,
fatigue, difficulty opening mouth.
As i have all this going on 24/7, my Anxiety levels are sky high, ive been told by my Gp, to take a high dose of Antidepressants, as a muscle relaxant. As i have to take these at night time, thats fine as im going to sleep.
But im in fixed pain during the day, and ive tried taking the med's, during the day, but they make me drowsy, and impact my thinking and speech.
Im at a lose as what to do, as i desperately need to go back to work, and earn a wage, i can only think that i can do a night Shift job, then i can take the meds during the day, and be to drowsey to notice the pain my Gp, suggested, dosing myself up with tablets, then i wouldnt feel the hurting please help

Ask for a referral to the hurting management team to discuss your options. Hurting is now a specialised subject and they work with many different combinations of drugs to accomplish a result.

Treat your hurting as an orchestra and learn to conduct it with all the means available to you. Pain clinic will open doors to other options as well and some of the alternatives.

Remember that the hurting is there whether you stay at domestic and focus on it or go to work and be distracted from it.
