can my pharmacist disclaim my Soma (as needed) whether I am already prescribed Valium(diazepam)?

I live in Pennsylvania and my insurance approved the Valium (diazepam) 10mg 2 times a day if needed for anxiety. As well as the Soma (carisoprodol) which is 350mg 3 times a day whether needed for muscle spasms. The pharmacist, who already dispensed it made me aware of the interplay between the two, which i was already well aware of, I have been going to this pharmacy for 5 years and never had a trouble.
Valium was from Psych. Soma was from Pcp (personal care phys)

Why would there suddenly be a trouble now if there never was before!?

probably,
maybe he didn't want to be held liable for a possible mistake.
he used his own judgment.
