Because I have the kidney malfunction it's important that I avoid too much acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen much any Otc pain reliever.
I've also being diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I am currently being treated for pain because of a recent spinal fusion and lower back has multiple bulging disks.
PS The Tramadol doesn't help the pain much at all.

I have bulging discs, fibro and multiple sclerosis and I went through that whole mess of the doctors switching the meds around...I do not have any kidney disease, but the acetaminophen in the norco/vicodin was really messing with my belly. We tried tramadol, but I had the same issue-it just didn't work. I ended up with 5 mg oxycodone capsules. They are the same thing as 5 mg percocet, without the tylenol. Imo 5 mg oxycodone is approximately as effective as 10 mg hydrocodone. Oxycodone has a poor name because of all of the abuse that has been occurring lately, but it is a good idea if the tramadol just isn't cutting it for you. Also, not everyone builds up a fast tolerance and ends up taking tons of meds. I have taken the same dose for years and been fine.
