Fin rot linked to parasites?

So, a couple of months ago I bought a male betta for my 10g tank that had a live plant in it. That plant brought in snails, small worm things, and little bugs. Shortly after I got my fish he had fin rot so I treated him with tetracycline, which worked for the time but then he got it again. I eventually moved him into a hospital tank and did an 100 water change to my 10g and cleaned the gravel and ogt rid of the plant, which was dying anyways. He is now back in the 10g and so is fin rot. I've also noticed threadlike matters attached to the glass of the aquarium as well as other weird tiny creatures. I'm starting to think that parasites are stressing out my fish causing him to have fin rot. (the water quality is fine and I am doing frequent water changes)

Right now I am using aquarium salt with bettafix and tetracycline and am also feeing him antibacterial food. I will not have enough money for any medication that gets rid of parasites until next weekend but I need to act fast.

Do you think that what I am doing already is good enough?
Is there anyway of getting rid of parasites without medication?
Any other help would be greatly appreciated I really want to save this man.

The critters you are seeing in the tank wont be directly causing the illness, but they are related.

You have scavengers in the tank because there is too much leftover food, decaying plants and general crud for them to feed on. This also messes with the water quality, ammonia and nitrate etc.and the fish gets sick.

So the 2 matters you are seeing have the same root cause.

Reduce the feeding, gain the water changes and gravel vacuuming to keep the tank water as clean as possible.
