I was given Cipro on 6/24 and I've taken the full seven day course. Notwithstanding, on the final day of anitibiotics (today), I've developed chills. Initially I had a kidney infection and a low grade fever and my physician did a sensitivity test and told me the bacteria is touchy to Cipro. Should I go back to the doctor/call his office? Even my mom seems a little concerned and told me that this shouldn't be happening (she's a nurse).
I had flank hurting in the beginning, as well as the usual Uti symptoms and abdominal cramps so I know it was kind of a poor infection, and all of that stuff has gone absent, so it's a little confusing.
Yes, go back to the Doc.
When my body is weak I try to give it a boost Vitamin C is excellent at helping the body heal in numerous ways. Humans are one of only four mammals that do not produce their own c when stressed or ill. C flushes out of your system every three hours, I use a C powder mixed in a bottle of water and sip through out the day. D-mannose prevents infections from returning if taken on a regular basis. A probiotic boosts healthy bacteria in numerous areas including the kidneys. Health food/Herbal stores or vitamin shops carry these. Research natural remedies and discuss with your doctor.
