How do I receive my friend off of drugs

My best friend has just started taking an illegal drug called ephedrine, it is a body building/ weight loss supplement. I am really concerned as this may lead him down a bad road and he might take harder drugs like anabolic steroids. I've tried to talk him out of taking them but he won't take me seriously. I'm going to try to get the girl he likes to talk him out of it because she likes him as well. Any more suggestions would be muuuch appreciated.

I am a recovered drug addict. Honestly, there is nothing you or anyone else can really do all you can do is tell him how badly it is affecting you. The only way he will get clean is whether he wants to for himself, you just have to wait until his consequences receive so bad he finds the need to change. Also, try alanon, makes it easier for you

you say drug addiction all i am thinking approximately is rehab whatever is the case or the intensity or the stage just make him go willingly to a center where he can be served help before he destroys his life
