I had taken baclofen for several years. My physician wanted me not to take it because it could worsen my depression. My pain doctor says that I have to have a muscle relaxant...this is for the rest of my life and I'm 63. The insurance company had filled the prescription, but they will no longer do so. I'm sure it's because of the price because it is terribly expensive. Are there suggestions for a replacement? The insurance company suggested flexeril. I know what amrix does and how it compares to flexeril.

Amrix is flexeril just extended release form so you don't have to take it as often. You can take flexeril for a LOT cheaper and the only draw back is you have to take it more often thru out the day.
You will get same results though.
