hi, i have got fairly small muscles on my arms atm, what can i do to increase them?
do protein shakes work? i do not want to physically be eating 200 grams of protein a day as this is a lot. Any other pills or supplements that can spur growth? should i start weight lifting to? and how long does all these processes take?

thanks

Well I can tell you that whether you don't work out, they're not gonna grow. If you don't take protein when you work out, it's defeating the purpose. So...When I first started lifting weights, I didn't know how important nutrition was. When you check out some of those bodybuilding magazines or men's health, they would propose to consume 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per pound of your body weight. Carbs are important too, they make muscles look fuller and give you energy for your workout. They also tell us to eat 6 to 7 small meals a day. When I did that, my butt gap was beggin for mercy after all the poops I was taking. Plus it's tough to find time to do all of that.

They have sooo many supplements on the market nowadays. Some work fantastic for some people, while others appear to receive no effects. It's all trial and error really, even when it comes to your weight lifting regimen. But this is what I do. But keep in mind that I've been working out for a long time. When I wake up in the morning, I'll take a protein shake for breakfast. Three or four hours later, I'll eat scrambled eggs with oatmeal or wheat toast. If it's a workout day, I'll workout approximately an hour after that meal. When I'm done, I'll do another protein shake immediately afterwards, cuz the body is looking for nutrients. But this protein shake is made with an extra scoop of L-glutamine, Branch Chain Amino Acids, and Creatine Monohydrate. Then an hour or two after that, I'll eat another meal. Something like grilled chicken or steak is good, just don't forget to eat some fresh veggies. (you'll get used to em) It's not over yet....3 to 4 hours after that another small meal. Then before bedtime, I'll switch to Casein Protein cuz it digest slower while your sleeping for 7 or 8 hours. When you are sleeping, sometimes the body can go into a muscle wasting state. So you want to have some form of protein before you go to bed and again when you wake. As for how long it takes to see results...If you're a beginner, results come quick. You should see and feel a change in a months time.
