pills don't belong in your windpipe!!! they could either obstruct the trachea, not allowing for air to pass-or settle into the lungs creating a collection of organisms.

Well, it could block the airway and cause suffocation and death.
It could cause choking and be successfuly coughed up.
The pills could be inhaled into the lungs, begin an inflammatory process and lead to aspiration pneumonia.
Just some thoughts.
