How long should she be hospitalized?

My mother is 69, has had 1/3 of her colon removed approximately 6 years ago, and was just hospitalized for a partial blockage. She was vomitting feces on Friday and arrived in the Er on Saturday morning.
Her white blood cell count is over twice normal, so they have her on Cipro for some unknown infection.
She's on Dilaudid for the hurting as well.
Any medical professionals have an opinion on how long it might be until she is well enough to come home?
