Whether I take a 50 mg tramadol prescribed to my dog will the reaction be different than taking tramadol for humans?

We have used that drug for our dog.... it was actually pretty vain. Enteric coated aspirin works far better.

And when the doc scripted that for my husband, Aleve, Darvocet were each far more effective. I'd say Tramadol is a drug trying to find a problem....worthless.

Tramadol is tranadol. Animal drugs won't be made to the same quality standard as human drugs, and the other components in the pill will be designed for a dog's metabolism rather than a person's. But yes, it is the same drug and should generally produce the same effects. If you are going to take it, check that tramadol is the only active ingredient. It's often mixed with other drugs.
