I was wondering what sort of results yall have gotten out of taking Phentermine. I just had it prescribed to me this week and am wondering what to expect as far as results, side effects, etc... Thanks in advance.

I take Phentermine for weight loss.I love this medicine I started taking it on 02-01-2010 almost has been 4 weeks and I've missing 18 pounds.I eat approximately 800 to 1000 calories a day eat lots of fruit veggies, protein shake for breakfast, nuts and at least 64 oz of water a day. It took away my junk food cravings completly and I have my normal energy back but I would'nt say I'm bouncing off the walls like a lot of ppl do.I love it I would highly recommend it. I have used it and still do. I initially missing 22lbs with it which is a miracle for me. Before taking it I was going to the gym 5 days a week for 2 hours. 1 hour of spinning and another hour of weights (different weights for different areas each day so that I didn't work out the same muscles back to back), but I wasn't losing any weight what so ever. Once I started on these pills I saw pretty fast results. The way this pill works is it reduces your appetite enormously (i have to remind my self to eat), and with the right combination (my physician also sent me some hormone pills to go along with the phentermine because I have Pcos) you will see good results. However, it is up to you to preserve those results. I stick to a pretty strict diet and still continue to exercise to increase my results. Notwithstanding, I no longer work out 5 days a week, instead I work out 3 days a week. But I do this because I still have 25 more lbs to go before I reach my goal weight. Good luck to you! Oh and p.s. make sure you drink Tons of water. At least about 6-8 bottles of water a day will do. Also, be very careful not to mix it with other meds that may increase your heart rate. You also need to follow the directions of the time you're supposed to take them at. For example, my doctor tells me to take my dosage at 10am. Then the hormone ones are supposed to be at 12noon.
