Can anyone tell me why my neck always hurts?

My symptoms have been going on for a little over a year now. I have chronic neck pain that is made worse by looking up as well as moving my neck in other directions. I get severe pain in my shoulder blades as well. My neck is in constant pain. My back hurts frequently, but not constantly. I get really bloodless hands and feet. My feet sometimes get cold to the point of numbness. When pressure is applied to areas in my back, neck and down my spine it produces pain. I have had an Mri and it came back negative. I had physical therapy and it did not help at all. I have tried pain relievers and muscle relaxants to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I did change pillows. I have a memory foam plush pillow.I also feel a lot of grinding in my neck when i move my head around. The grinding is associated with pain.

The chiropractors recently discovered that the over use of all our phones, pads and games are causing the back at the bottom of the neck as you described. We need to be aware that must not bend our neck so much at long periods of time. Since I been concentrating not putting my smart phone or my Kindle to raise a little bit. I receive this criminal too feeling and it has help relieve that.

I would recommend going to an orthopedist. Take your Mri when you go, and any physical therapy reports that you have. It sounds like you have an impingement or pinched nerve in your neck. I don't think it is affecting your feet. I think that is a separate coincidental trouble though I can't be sure.
