I was given antibiotic therapy in June for h. Pylori. My physician gave me bactrim (which I had to stop due to a reaction), tetracycline, and flagyl. According to a stool test the h. Pylori is gone but my stomach Still seems messed up. I have a lot of heartburn that I never had, I was not prescribed a ppi with my therapy which I read is common. I started on Zantac after and it has helped a bit. I also have had ibs symptoms since and my digestion just seems all screwed up. My Gastrointerologist keeps putting off an endoscopy when I tell him I have no blood in my stool, poor hurting, or vomiting. Does it take this long for a belly to heal after antibiotics and h. Pylori? It has been a frustrating journey. I have had a Cbc and know I don't have celiac or abnormalities there. Have missing a lot of weight and find it hard to increase but this does make you dread food a little.
My stomach has been giving me issues for 6 months on and off i know how you feel. It really depends on your diet. Perhaps try cutting sure things out. I know that garlic and red sauce are homicide on my stomach. Sometimes cheese too or dairy in general. I do overlook ice cream. sometimes not getting enough exercise can cause digestive problems as well as mendacity down to soon after a meal. I also recommend not eating a few hours before bed and sitting up for a while after meals. Good luck
