Why would an e-mail from someone I know show up in my inbox when they didn't send it?

I received an strange e-mail from a friend this morning but when I called her she told me she never sent it and that she would never send an e-mail like that to me and I do believe her. So how do you explain it ending up in my in box from her? And then when I was checking my e-mail and looked at it to show her it showed up on my in box again she thought it was really bizarre. The e-mail that keeps showing up is a generic e-mail for Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, Hgh, and Ultram amongst others. and the link that leads me to this is a google site.
I have 2 separate e-mail accounts and it shows up in both

I don't have an answer, but this exact same object is happening to me. How do they do it? How do they receive into my contact info? It's not just that someone can send an email that looks like it's from me, they somehow got my contacts

Your friend needs to change her password immediately. And for you, don't click the link, it's a virus. I know from personal experience. It took a few days before I knew I had one. Cost me some money to clean it. This is happening now to many. Yahoo suggests the password change asap.
